American Samoa Interact Clubs Celebrate at End of Year Conference

The American Samoa Interact End of Year Conference brought students together from six school clubs on Saturday, May 30th at the ASCC Multipurpose Centre. The theme, "Celebrating Service. Inspiring Leaders. Shaping Tomorrow," set the tone for a morning that lived up to every word of it.

Things kicked off the way Interact events tend to -- with a small challenge that turned into a quick demonstration of exactly what the program is about. The chairs hadn't been set up when everyone arrived, and before anyone had to ask twice, students were moving furniture and getting the room ready. Done in minutes. No drama. Just kids who show up to serve.

The program moved through opening prayer, welcome remarks from RCPP President Raymond David, and presentations from all six clubs: Pacific Horizon School, Manumalo Academy, Samoana High School, Leone High School, Tafuna High School, and Fa'asao Marist High School. RYPEN 2026 delegates Deriah Tiatia from Leone High School and Telesia Godinet from Manumalo Academy shared their experiences from the program.

Keynote remarks came from Danielle King, RCPP Vice President and President-Elect.

The morning closed with the Recognition and Awards Ceremony, where all Interact members received certificates, seniors were recognized with graduation stoles, and Interact Advisors were honored. Group photos and refreshments wrapped up what was a genuinely good day.
