October 4, 2024 - The Rotary Club of Pago Pago inducted 155 students into Interact during a special ceremony at the Department of Youth & Women’s Affairs Tafuna Center.
President Moera Hardman and Rotarian Max Sudnovsky were the Guests of Honor at the Interact Induction and both gave inspiring and motivational words to the newest members of the extended Rotary Family.
The students belong to six school-based Interact clubs:
Interact Club of Tafuna High School
Interact Club of Samoana High School
Interact Club of Leone High School
Interact Club of Pacific Horizons School
Interact Club of Manumalo Academy
Interact Club of Fa’asao Marist High School
In her remarks to the assembly, RCPP Youth Committee Chair Natalia Palamo said, “We are so excited for the projects that your clubs have planned for our community and we look forward to working with Rotary and Rotaract to support our Interactors this school year.”
The program was conducted by Rotarian Joey Cummings and Rotaract ASCC President Athena Polu.
During the event, Interact Club presidents were given the microphone to introduce their members and to share some of their project plans. Projects included goals to have all Interact clubs members undergo first aid certification and lifeguard training; support drives for pet supplies; community and school clean ups.
Thank you so much for having our Club from Samoan High School. We are blessed to be part of something bigger. We will continue to be part of a greater cause. We enjoyed the event immensely. Students were hipped and cheerful. Looking forward for our up coming events. Thank you again.
