Winners of Rotary Club’s 2025 Four-Way Test Awards

Updated: Jun 2

On Saturday, April 26, the Rotary Club of Pago Pago hosted a banquet at Paradise Restaurant in Nu’uuli to recognize twelve high school seniors chosen as recipients of the club’s annual Four-Way Test Awards.

The winners were chosen by their classmates as those who best embody the principles of Rotary’s Four-Way Test in their everyday lives. The evening was joyful and vibrant, energized by the dynamic masters of ceremony, Joey Cummings and Moli Lemana, who

quickly created a warm, fun, and participatory atmosphere.

Rotary Club of Pago Pago's Danielle King spearheaded this year's event. After the ceremony, she said, "From the moment the award recipients introduced themselves, it was clear that they were remarkable young people, each offering insight into their values and outstanding character. The celebration was further elevated by the inspiring remarks from Pastor Bam Lauvao, who encouraged the students to find their purpose and fulfill their full potential while keeping the Lord and their faith strong and resolute. He implored each of them never to settle for less, reminding them that any contribution they make to their community is important and that they have God-given dreams and potential to unlock— becoming prophets for American Samoa."

The Four-Way Test, regarded as Rotary’s code of ethics, asks four questions: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
