Stuffing the Box with Dollars (& Joy!)

November 9, 2024 - The departure lounge at Pago Pago International Airport is home to a very special donation box. Placed there by the Rotary Club of Pago Pago, the box gives travelers to deposit spare change which is used to fund an annual holiday party for the Special Needs community in American Samoa.

With over 200 attendees each year, the event is an “all hands” affair with participants from the Rotary Club, Rotaract and Interact. Gift-giving, games and caroling are highlights.

This year’s party is scheduled for mid-December and will be hosted at the American Samoa Community College’s Multi-Purpose Center by the Rotaract Club of ASCC.
